Sue Miller

Sue Ann Cushing Miller, 88 of Connersville passed into the arms of Jesus on October 2, 2025.

She was born to Jesse and Dorothy Cushing on November 27, 1936 in Cambridge City, Indiana. She married Lucius Thedore Miller on January 22, 1955; he predeceased her on April 23, 2019.

She is survived by sons, Roger (Debbie) Miller, of Connersville, Indiana and Len (Jantee) Miller of Khon Kaen Thailand; grandchildren, Stephanie Eckerle, Brenton Miller and Teri Whitataker; great grandchildren, Harrison, Ava, Graham, Simon, Livian Miller, Aiden and Alyssa Eckerle, Carter and Addelynn Miller and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David Cushing and Jerald Cushing; grandson, Brian Miller; great grandson, Landen Miller and great granddaughter, Lily Ann Miller.

Sue began working at Conwell Shoes in 1967 and then at Fayette Bank (US Bank), where she had a career as a teller for 26 years.

Sue enjoyed many things, including spending time with her family and friends, camping, playing games, jig saw puzzles, cooking for family and friends and making peanut brittle. Sue was an avid bowler. She and Lucius enjoyed traveling; they travels as far as Alaska and Germany.

Sue was a year member of Eastern Star, where she filled many leadership roles over those years donating her time and energy to improving the lives of people in her community. She is a member of Connersville Baptist Temple.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Ferriera officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
