SHERBURN: A Celebration of Life Service for Susan "Sue" Nelson, 64, of Sherburn, Minnesota will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Welcome American Legion Hall (112 North Dugan St.) in Welcome, Minnesota.
Sue was called to her eternal rest on Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2025 at her home in Sherburn, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, (November 8, 2025) at the Welcome American Legion Hall in Welcome, Minnesota.
The Kramer Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont and Welcome, Minnesota is in charge of Sue's arrangements.

Susan Virginia Sodeman was born on March 10, 1961 to Gordon and Janette (Breitbarth) Sodeman in St. James, Minnesota. She was baptized on April 2, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church and later confirmed on March 23, 1975 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. She received her education in Truman School later graduating with the class of 1979. Sue attended Nursing School in New Ulm, Minnesota. She then was employed at the Trimont Nursing Home, Glasstite in Dunnell, Sister of Mercy Medical Clinic in Jackson and then to the Jackson Hospital. Sue was united in marriage to Tim Nelson. She then was employed at the Fairmont Medical Clinic and worked there until her retirement in 2020. She greatly enjoyed quilting, fishing, watching NasCar. She was a member of the Welcome American Legion Auxiliary and the Fox Lake Conservation Club and Duck's Unlimited.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Nelson of Sherburn, Minnesota; son Chuck Sodeman of Trimont, Minnesota; mother, Janette (Ernie) Karschnik of Branson, Missouri; sister, Gloria Schmitz of Jackson, Minnesota; brother, Greg Sodeman of Homestead, Florida; nieces and nephews; Father-in-law, Duane Nelson of Sherburn, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Kim (Randy) Sokoloski of Fairmont, Minnesota, Kathleen (Ervin) Jurries of Sherburn, Minnesota and other relatives and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Sodeman; mother-in-law, Bonnie Nelson and other family members.
