Sue Dare McDaniel Presnell, 80, of Old Fort, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on April 27, 1945 to the late Richard Vance McDaniel and Sula Barnes McDaniel.
Sue loved the Lord with all her heart. She was dedicated to her family and taking care of the needs around the home. Her family held a special place in her heart, and she was always bragging to others about her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. Sue liked working puzzles and getting out and going places as long as her health allowed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Vance Presnell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Edward Presnell; three daughters, Jennie Ammons (Heath), Amanda Berry, and Tracie Ward; and nine grandchildren, Candace Walters (Solomon), Jeremiah Ammons, Gabriel Ammons, Kaitlyn Schledzewski (Christian), Devan Berry, Ashley Hollifield, Logan Holland (Aaron), Abigail Ward, and Micah Presnell.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00 noon at West Marion Baptist Church, located at 365 Stroud Street in Marion. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CarePartners Hospice & Palliative Care- McDowell.
