Sue Ellen "Reinarz" Salmonson

Sue Ellen (Reinarz) Salmonson, 73, of Gemmell, MN, died on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, MN at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Northome, MN.

Sue was born on January 16, 1952 in Bemidji, MN, the 8th of 14 children, to Hubert and Helen (Eng) Reinarz, Jr. She attended school in Mizpah, MN. She married Larry Salmonson on November 20, 1970 and spent 20 years with her husband traveling around the globe while he served his country. All this while raising 3 daughters, Kimberly Dawn born in 1972, Kathy Ann born in 1974, and Jamie Renee born in 1984. They retried in Gemmell, MN in the fall of 1988 to be near family and friends.

Sue has had various types of employment; in-home childcare, housekeeping, and food service industry. With her husband Larry, they owned Salmonson Construction, the Ridge Runner Café, and Reinarz Station. One of her favorite past-times was playing bingo.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Douglas) Jourdan, Kathy (Carl) Burgoon, and Jamie (Brady Wroe) Salmonson; grandchildren, Natasha (Brandon Hazeldine) Burgoon, Timothy (Kia James), Justin (Payton), Anna (Trevor), Jessie, Carlie (Jerimiah), David, Alex, Frankie, and Ronin; great grandchildren, Waylon, Charlie, McKenzie, Kayce, Hannah, and Charli; and Siblings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Edward Salmonson; her parents, Hubert, Jr and Helene Reinarz; brothers, John (Hutch) Reinarz, and Hubert (Punk) Reinarz III; sisters, Lynne Olson and Julie Leseman; father-in-law, Edward Salmonson; mother-in-law, Ruby Kugler; and step father-in-law, Ed Kugler; and sister-in-law, Brenda Salmonson.
