Sue Titus

Heaven gained another beautiful angel when Grandma Sue Titus passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a mother, a father, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and recently, a proud great-great-grandmother. But most of all, she was everyone's person - the heart of her family and a friend to all who crossed her path.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday November 13, 2025, at the Toledo Christian Church. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday at the church. The Burial will be in the Tippett Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.
Sue N. Titus was born on September 29, 1942, in Jewett, IL to Lloyd and Helen (Herr-Parse) Powell. She married Lowell Lynn Titus in 1959.
Grandma Sue had a gift that can't be put into words - she saw people for who they were and loved them just the same. She was everyone's therapist, everyone's angel, and she had zero judgment. No matter who you were or what you'd been through, she welcomed you with warmth, kindness, and understanding. A friend of yours was always a friend of hers.
If you ever spent time with her, you carried her with you - literally. She had the most distinct, beautiful scent, and if someone hugged you after visiting her, everyone knew where you had been. Her love lingered that way too.
Her kitchen was her love language. She was an incredible cook who went above and beyond to make sure there was always something everyone loved - and plenty of it. Every meal was an act of love, and every gathering at her home felt like a celebration. She made holidays magical, especially Christmas, where her home sparkled with decorations in every room. And on New Year's Day, she never missed her traditional feast - a table overflowing with good luck, laughter, and enough food to feed an army.
Grandma Sue had a passion for decorating and celebrating every season. Her home was a reflection of her heart - warm, welcoming, and full of beauty. To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, acceptance, and selflessness that will live on through her family and all who knew her. Her spirit will forever fill our hearts and homes - in the smell of a home-cooked meal, the glow of Christmas lights, and the simple joy of gathering together.
She is survived by her children: David (Ina) Titus, Julie (Mike) Gentry, Sheila (Aaron) McElravy, and Tina (Kent) Keppler and son-in-law Terry Rodebaugh; grandchildren: Andrew (Heather) Olmstead, Tabitha (Jed) Brummer, Whitney (Chris) Edwards, Tessa (Jake) Edwards, Amanda (Caleb) Middleton, Trey (Samantha) Olmstead, Kelsey (Eric) Bierman, Josh (Brittany) Rodebaugh, Demi Titus, Peyton Keppler (fiancé Madison), Keaton Titus (Marly), Lilly (Levi) Reynolds and Mick Ames (Cheyenne); great grandchildren: Ivy, River, Crew, Ridge, Ani, Van, Bear, Marley, Nora, Braydon, Leah, Audrey, Brooklyn, Drake, Owen, Saylor, Cooper, Bella, Shelby, Brooke, Briar, Raelynn, Ryker, Kaycee, baby girl Titus, and Andersyn; and great-great grandchild Alex, who will all carry on her traditions and her unconditional love for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell Titus in 1979, son Richard "Rickey" Lynn Titus in 1968, and brothers William Powell and James Powell.
Though our hearts ache, we take comfort knowing that Heaven gained another angel - and that Grandma Sue's love still surrounds us - steady, strong, and eternal - just as it always has.
