Suellen Betty Facciolo (Manley), age 70, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters after a courageous medical journey.
Suellen was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and spent most of her life in Newark. A beloved nurse by profession, she dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and grace. Her daughters were the center of her world, and she passed on to them her deep love of animals. Her grandchildren were a bright light in her life, and she was endlessly proud of each of them. She never let a day go by without reminding her family how deeply she loved them.
Suellen is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Carr (Facciolo) and Kelly Vaughn (Facciolo); her sons-in-law, Timothy Carr and Lucas Vaughn; her cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, and Jovie Vaughn; her sister, Marcia Gilbert; and her beloved niece and nephew, Victoria Gilbert and Garrett Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Manley (Abbot) and Thomas Manley.
The family deeply appreciates your love, support, and presence as we honor Suellen's life. In keeping with her quiet spirit and our family's wishes, there will be no formal gathering or meal following the service.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Your thoughts, prayers, and memories mean more than we can express. Thank you for being part of her life - and ours.
All are invited to attend her memorial service at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE on Thursday, May 15th at 12:30 pm. A visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Family suggests memorializing Suellen with a donation to the ASPCA or an animal shelter of your choosing, in honor of her deep love for animals.
