Summer Reed

Summer Dakota "Aurora" Reed, age 22, of Rochester, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her home. She was born on August 28, 2002 in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of James Parthemer and Lynae (Reed) Smith. Summer worked at M&M Wood Products, Martha Lloyd, and waitressed at a country club. She enjoyed reading, playing with her brothers and sister, cows, and her cats, Wrath and Max.
Summer is survived by her father, James Parthemer of Morris Run, PA; mother and stepfather, Lynae and Michael Smith of Westfield, PA; two brothers, Landen Smith of Westfield, PA, and Zaine Smith of Westfield, PA; a sister, Gemini Parthemer of Morris Run, PA; and paternal grandparents, Christine and Alan Smith of Morris Run, PA. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Tammy Parthemer; and great grandparents, Rod Parthemer and Faye Hilfiger.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Randy Parthemer officiating. Burial will take place in Gray Cemetery in Covington, PA.
