Sunda Lee McDonald

Sunda Lee McDonald, 83, of Wapakoneta, passed away 5:10 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born June 7, 1942, in Buckland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carol and Betty (Zerkel) Tangeman. On June 25, 1960, she married Richard E. McDonald, and he preceded her in death on February 24, 1985.

Mark E. (Tracy) McDonald, Wapakoneta;
2 grandchildren, Wade (Brittany) McDonald,
Amber Bruno;
3 great grandchildren, Paige, Peyton, and Parker McDonald;
siblings, Tommy (Marge-deceased) Tangeman, St. Marys, OH,
Nancy (Frank) Heffner, Wapakoneta,
David (Jan) Tangeman, Wapakoneta.
Sunda retired from Wapakoneta Manor in the dietary department. Prior to that, she had worked at Auglaize Lumber Co and Shastar Rent to Own, both of Wapakoneta. A graduate of Buckland High School in 1960, she was a life member of the Buckland United Church of Christ. Sunda enjoyed reading, puzzles books, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Buckland United Church of Christ, with Pastor Adam Shanaman officiating. Burial is to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Friday, November 14, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, and 1 hour prior to the service, Saturday at the church.
