Alfred T. Drexler

Alfred T. Drexler, 82, of Wapakoneta, passed away 2:45 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Otterbein-Cridersville, with his family at his side. He was born May 4, 1943 in Wapakoneta, the son of the late Anthony T. and Marie (Archer) Drexler. On August 26, 1961, he married Emma "Mae" Shulaw and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2017.

4 children, Anthony "Tony" (Teresa) Drexler,
Charles Drexler,
Jeff (Stephanie) Drexler, Sr.,
Lisa Carder, all of Wapakoneta;
11 grandchildren;
28 great grandchildren;
3 great great grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Alice Drexler and LaRie Hull.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Walter (Ellen) Drexler, Harold (Elizabeth) Drexler, Andrew (Alice) Drexler, Clyde (LaRie) Drexler, Helen (Norval) Steinke and Rita (Gene) Dailey.
Al was a licensed engineer boiler operator, and worked at Superior Tube Co. as a guard and then boilerman. He later worked at New Idea, Coldwater, OH, and the City of St. Marys as a boilerman and on the grounds crew. He was a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. He enjoyed wood carving. Al loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Fr. Ethan Hoying officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, and 9-10 a.m., Thursday at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
