It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sunee Meechai Vetchapoom, who departed this life peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 77.
Sunee was born on March 17, 1948, in Lopburi, Thailand and through numerous moves, ending her final destination in Saint Augustine, Florida where she lived with her husband Kitchavat Vetchapoom. Sunee brought laughter, love and resilience into the lives of all who knew her.
Sunee was a loving mother to Maria Turner, George Tartaglia, and Michael Tartaglia, and a cherished grandmother to eight grandkids.
She had a deep love for sewing and cooking-two passions she used to express her creativity and bring people together. Whether stitching something by hand or preparing a warm meal, Sunee loved the friendship each of these brought her. Her home was a place where family and friends always felt welcome.
Sunee was known for and leaves a legacy of generosity and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.
