Susan "Sue" Kay Arlt, 71, of Kingsley, died Monday, November 17, 2025, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born January 8, 1954, in Traverse City, the daughter of Kenneth and Jeanette (Peck) Manville.

Sue attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cadillac. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She canned and cooked, doing all she could to raise her family right. She was also a skilled seamstress and quilter. More than anything, Sue loved her horses, raising and training many throughout her life.

On January 29, 1984, at the Kingsley Sportsman's Club, Sue married Roy Arlt who survives her. She is also survived by: her children, Michael (Tammy) Arlt, Connie Shapiro, Chet (Shelly) Arlt, Henry (Tammy) Arlt, Edmund Arlt; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jeanette "Jan," Kenny, Wendy, and Joey.

Sue was preceded in death by: her parents and daughter, Teresa Seitz.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 200 N. Brownson Avenue, Kingsley, Michigan 49649. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM until time of services on Friday.
