It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Badalato, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on May 14, 1962, Susan lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering generosity.
Susan was the cherished wife of Augie Badalato, her partner and best friend for 47 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, companionship, and boundless love. A devoted "dog mom," Susan extended her nurturing spirit to all creatures and shared her warmth with everyone she met. Known affectionately as "Aunt Sue" to all, her welcoming nature and open heart made her a second mother to many.
Now reunited with her two late sons, Christopher and Anthony, Susan finally has the chance to embrace the role of a mother she longed for, completing a family reunion in heaven.
Susan's legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Augie, her mother Irma, her sisters Carla and Jean, and countless friends and family members who were fortunate to share in her life. She loved comedy, of course, that is no surprise. Her favorites were Lucille Ball and Red Skelton. And to quote Red Skelton's good night song..
"The time has come to say goodnight. I hope I've made a friend. And so we'll say, may God Bless, until we meet again'.
Rest in peace, Susan. You will be missed beyond measure but remembered with endless love.
A visitation celebration of Susan's life will take place from 4:00-8:00 PM this Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at Carpino Funeral Home in Southbury Connecticut. There will be no formal church services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: http://www.swimacrossamerica.org/goto/SusanBadalato
, honoring Susan's courageous battle with stage 4 melanoma and her lifelong dedication to helping others.
May God bless and keep you, until we meet again.
