Susan Barbin Obituary
Born on August 20, 1953, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Donald and Norma (Werkheiser) Krahmer.
Susan is a graduate of Amsterdam High School, class of 1971. She was a workaholic and recently retired from Ellis Hospital. In her spare time, Susan was very passionate about traveling and had a love for animals.
On August 22, 1971, Susan married her loving husband, James Barbin, it was a loving union until his passing on April 12, 2022.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Krahmer (Glen), Norma Jean Miller (Daniel), Margaret Kosuda (Edward), Raymond Krahmer (Mayra) and Jo Anne Solis (Jose); extended family, Scott, Sarah & Mackenzie Sutton; goddaughter, Alexandra Ryle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Krahmer and Franklyn Krahmer.
Services for Susan will be held in the Spring and will be announced. At that time, Susan will be laid to rest with Jim at Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam.
Susan's care has been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
Memorial donations can be made to an animal rescue of your choice.

I worked with "Sue boo" in the Emergency Department at Ellis Medicine. I learned so much from her, and her birthday was a couple weeks before mine, I decorated her office from ceiling to floor lol. She definitely deserved it, I will miss our girl chats and your love for animals. Last time we spoke you told me you seen your family and you was happy you seen them. I admired how you took care of your husband and both of you loved that bunny so much. Thank you for showing me how to perfect excel. And for the position I hold today in clinical research you gave me an awesome reference, I will forever remember you Sue boo. I remember when I asked can I call you that, you laugh so hard, but said yes. Rest well my friend.
