Susan Laverne Beisner, 77, Park Rapids, MN passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids.
Susan was born on May 25, 1947 to M.Graydon and Sylvia (Boser) Beisner of Dorchester WI. In 1964, she graduated from high school in Downers Grove, IL. She attended secretarial school in Chicago and in 1966 began working for Chicago Burlington Quincy Railroad for a few years and then transferred to St. Paul, MN, working for the Great Northern Railroad. She later transferred to Forth Worth TX, Topeka KS and then back to Fort Worth, TX with Burlington Northern Santa Fe. After her 41 years with the railroad and three railroad mergers, she retired in 2007 to the Park Rapids, MN area to be with her sister and family.
Susan enjoyed reading, needlework, and loved baking and always kept up with family news.
Susan is survived by her sister, Rosemary Beisner Moody of Park Rapids; niece, Catherine (Michael) Gordon; nephew, John (GeAnna) Moody; grand-nieces and nephew, Mason Moody, Skadi Moody, Jessica Gordon and Milee Gordon and many cousins and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Graydon and Sylvia Beisner; sister, Donna Beisner Anderson; brother-in-law, Frank E. Moody; her grandparents, John and Rose Boser, Henry and Genevieve Beisner. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids with visitation for 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery in Dorchester, WI on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10 AM.
Her family is so thankful for all the good care she received at Heritage Living Center for many years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heritage Living Center, 619 Sixth Street West, Park Rapids, MN, 56470. Arrangements are by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids, MN.
