Susan Lorean "Susie" Bentch, 78, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Susie was born on November 5, 1946, in Moberly, MO, the daughter of Charles F. Massman and Betty Vance. She was united in marriage to James Bentch on May 29, 1992, in Macon, MO.
She was a graduate of Moberly High School and worked as a production scheduler for Orchelen's. Susie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, tending to her flowers, and gathering with loved ones. Her faith was important to her, and she cherished quiet mornings attending church services at home.
Susie is survived by her husband, James Bentch of the home; her children, Rita (Mike) Wheeler of Cairo, MO, Tony (Alexis) Powell of Moberly, MO, Carol (Jimmy) Prather of Cairo, MO, Julie (Chad) Briscoe of Huntsville, MO, Lacy (John) Ackley of Cairo, MO, and Kelly (Justin) Cruse of Huntsville, MO; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paulette (Buddy) Myers of Huntsville, MO, Stephanie (Eddie) Burns of Colorado, Becky (Scott) Siefert of Wisconsin, Leanne Massman of Columbia, MO, and Kelly (Kevin) Sullivan of Branson, MO; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles J. Massman and Chris Massman; and two grandsons, Grayson Prather and Shawn K. McCormick.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, MO. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hager Cemetery in Huntsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
