Susan Davis Obituary
Sue grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1969. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Kansas in 1976.
Sue was intensely interested in Native American history, culture, and art. She loved visiting various Native American reservations and going to pow wows. She also enjoyed watching old movies and television shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves behind her life partner Ralph Powell; a sister, Mary Davis and her husband Dan Jones of Dodge City, Kansas; two nieces, Kathryn Jones of New York City, New York and Danielle Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as her dog Delilah and two cats Monkey and Baby.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Sue was a tissue donor. The family suggestes memorial contributions to the American Indian College Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
