Susan Elizabeth Garcia

Susan Garcia (Brazil) passed away on August 31, 2024. Her husband and two daughters were by her side when she peacefully passed away. Susan (which she liked to be called Sue) was born in San Jose, Ca. on December 20, 1954 to Ruth Brazil and Harold Brazil. Sue was the youngest of two children, Candice Johnson (Brazil), who all preceded Sue before her death. Sue married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Garcia, in 1971. Meeting when Sue was just 13 years old, they were together 56 years and had three children together, Raymond Garcia wife Vicki, Deanna Flores (Garcia) and Melissa Borgesi (Garcia) husband Nick. They have six grandchildren Paul, Faith, Kaylee, Christian, Sydney and Aubrey.
Sue went to elementary school in the Burbank area, middle school at Ida Price and then Branham High School. She started working while raising her children, working at Marie Calendars, CBI Credit Bureau, US bank and Pediatrics Associates before retiring.
Sue loved traveling to resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico and enjoyed going on cruises. She volunteered her time at her children's schools and also participated in the Little Branham Rosswood Association in her neighborhood.
Once retired, Sue and Gilbert enjoyed going to the Almaden and Camden Community Centers, participating in exercise classes, bus trips and other social events. Sue also enjoyed socializing with the pickleball players at Camden Community Center, frequently attending luncheons and other events with Gilbert. Sue and Gilbert were known to walk their small yorkie, Hailee, in their neighborhood. Although Hailee passed three years ago, she brought much joy and helped Sue meet and form close friendships with many neighbors.
The last months of Sue's life, she had two goals she wanted to accomplish. One was to go to Oregon to see her daughter Deanna's new home and the other was to live long enough to see her last granddaughter (Aubrey) be born. We're proud to say she was able to accomplish both of her goals before she passed. Sue was a great daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmother and aunt. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but will always be in our hearts and prayers.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation Friday, September 27 from 4pm to 8pm and memorial service Saturday, September 28 at 11:30am located at Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills, 1615 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Los Gatos, CA with gravesite services immediately following at Los Gatos Memorial Park 2255 Los Gatos - Almaden Rd., San Jose, CA
