John David Kisling October 16, 1961 – April 27, 2025
John David Kisling, age 63, passed away peacefully in San Jose, California, on April 27, 2025.
John was born on October 16, 1961, in San Jose, California, to James and Irene Kisling. He graduated Branham High School in the year 1980. John was known for his generous heart, his master storytelling, and being the Mr. Fix-It of the family.
In his free time, John enjoyed nature, Dungeons & Dragons, history and mythology, crafting marvelous things for others with love, and spending time with his family and friends. John cherished his family and friends with his entire heart and being, and showed this through his caring nature and thoughtful gift-giving. John had a fondness for rabbits and adopted bunnies in his later years.
John is survived by his two loving daughters, Brandy Kisling and Ulissa Kisling Smith; and his older sister, Diane Kisling-Balbiani. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Stevie Kisling and Jeanette Kisling.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Legacy Garden of Life at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Rd. San Jose, CA 95124. John's enduring legacy is his profound love for family, unwavering strength and resilience, and his roles as a Superdad, Superfriend, and Superman to everyone around him.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." -J.R.R Tolkien
