Susan Heiserman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home - Findlay on Jan. 13, 2026.
Susan "Sue" J. Heiserman, 77, of Findlay, died at 6:10 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born on May 21, 1948, in Gaylord, MI to the late Charles and Helen (King) Drake. She married Larry Heiserman on April 16, 1967, and he survives.
Sue is also survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Doug) Wendt of Findlay; son, Corey (Mandy) Heiserman of Findlay; sister, Robin (Jim) Welly of Findlay; brother, Chuck (Jennifer) Drake of Findlay; her beloved grandchildren (who affectionately referred to her as "DoDo"): Cameron, Durham and Jaxon Heiserman; Charli and Blade Wendt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Toni Hazelton and Chris (Keith) Siferd.
She was a 1966 graduate of Findlay High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and faithfully organized class reunions for many years. She eventually retired from Chaslo Realty after years of dedicated service.
Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and attending their various activities. This devotion transitioned to her grandchildren, and she rarely missed an opportunity to watch them participate in their events and sports. A mother to all, she was affectionately known as "Doña" to her children's friends and "DoDo" to her grandchildren. She loved spending time at the beach, playing bingo, and visiting casinos, always enjoying the simple pleasures of life and the company of those she loved.
A gathering of remembrance will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
In lieu of flowers we ask that memorial contributions may be made to Flag City Honor Flight.
