Susan M. (Panaia) Lenville, age 80 of Springfield, Massachusetts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center with her husband of 60 years, her daughter, and her grandchildren by her side.
Born in Springfield, MA to the late Ellery and Mary Jeanette (Perkins) Panaia, Susan enjoyed weekends at the Maine oceanside with her husband whom she loved dearly, crafts and attending craft shows, gardening and growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs, cooking and baking, decorating her home, and spending time with family and friends.
Her greatest joy was her family, and holidays were always a very special time for her. She loved to decorate for holidays, pick out gifts for everyone, and make holiday meals and treats for all of her loved ones.
Susan is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, John Joseph Lenville, Sr. of Springfield, MA, daughter Laura Hancock and son-in-law Robert Hancock of Texas, her 2 grandchildren, sister Betty Perlmutter of Florida, and many nephews, nieces and friends. She is predeceased by her son John Joseph Lenville, Jr. Of Springfield, MA.
A private funeral will be held in Texas.
