Susan J. Martin, 69, of Willow Street, entered into rest on Friday, March 28, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Blair H. and Anna Margaret (Futscher) King. She was the loving wife of Charles N. "Chip" Martin for 51 years.
Sue was a vibrant woman, known by all for being sassy, classy, and a little kick-assy. She was well-known in the Willow Street community as a small business owner, alongside her husband "Chip," at Willow Street Tire & Auto for over 45 years. In her free time, Sue could be found in her kitchen, cooking, baking, and creating delectable recipes she loved to share. She spent countless hours baking with her granddaughters, teaching them cherished family recipes.
Sue loved holiday traditions and hosting family gatherings. Some of her favorites included an Easter scavenger hunt, Thanksgiving dinner, the infamous Cookie Bake, and, of course, reading The Night Before Christmas to her grandchildren.
Sue also had a deep passion for animals that spanned decades. She never turned away a stray and was often followed by one of her beloved dogs. If she wasn't in the kitchen, you'd find Sue at her favorite casino playing Wheel of Fortune, or aboard a cruise ship, eagerly awaiting the next adventure.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Martin, husband of Diane, Kimberly Martin (Grossman), and Michelle Martin (Gilger), wife of Brendan; her five grandchildren, Alexandria, Paige, Jozie, Gemma, and Macie; and her dog, Maggie.
In keeping with Sue's wishes, no services will be held. Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations to the Humane League of Lancaster.
