Susan Marie McFee of Buena Vista, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024 at her home. She was surrounded by her family. Susan was born on December 20, 1955 to Howard and Mary (Punky) Todd in Canon City, Colorado.
Susan was the youngest of four children. She had fond memories of her childhood growing up in Canon City.
Susan graduated from Canon City High School in 1974. The following year, she married Joe McFee on April 19, 1975.
Including being a homemaker, she worked many jobs to provide for her family. She spent 25 years working at City Market. There she made many friends with coworkers and customers. She was always the friendly cashier that knew everyone's name and generally their life story. She loved this community and the people that she interacted with at City Market.
In her spare time she enjoyed camping and 4 wheeling with her husband and family. She always enjoyed traveling to different places. Throughout her life, she had several dogs and a cat that she adored.
She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a warm meal including her special noodles at all family gatherings. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play in sports. She could be found at almost all their sporting events.
Susan is survived by her husband, Joe McFee. Her children: Joseph (Kristina) McFee, Jeremiah McFee, Melissa (Michael) Ridlon and Mary (Chad) Close all of Buena Vista, CO. Her grandchildren: Mackensey McFee, Madysen McFee, Kaden McFee, Kaleb Ridlon, Skylar Close and Luke Ridlon. Her sisters: Sharon (Brent) Carey and Judy (Lee) McCreight. Her brother and sister inlaws: Terry Todd, Shelley Poole, Beverly (Toby) Winters, Mark McFee, Brian McFee and Michael (Tami) McFee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Todd.

At Susan's request there will be no formal funeral. In lieu of flowers, Susan wanted donations to be made to the Ark Valley Humane Society. On line condolence may be sent to lewisandglenn.com. Arrangements are with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
