Susan Moawad, 48, of Burlington Twp., entered into her eternal rest with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on April 15, 1977 to parents, Ezzat and Mary Moawad, she spent her childhood in Hamilton Township, graduating from Hamilton High West in 1995. She briefly attended Mercer County Community College. She had resided in Burlington since 1996.

Susan loved going to the gym, she was a former member of the YMCA and Urge Fitness. She enjoyed wearing her boxing gloves, and taking Zumba classes. She loved trips to the park to walk with her mother. She also enjoyed Atlantic City and going to the beach.

Susan had a heart of gold and was pure in spirit, never having anything bad to say about anyone. She had a deep love for her beloved mother, Mary. They were inseparable. Even when she was unable to speak she would signal to her sister, to take care of their mother. They had a special bond.

Susan was predeceased by her father, Ezzat Moawad. She leaves behind to mourn her untimely passing, her beloved mother, Mary (Shafik) Moawad; her doting and loving sister, Miriam Moawad; as well as other family and friends both here and in Egypt.

Coptic Orthodox funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM at the Virgin, St. Shenouda & St. Thomas Coptic Orthodox Church, 1717 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610.

Entombment will follow services in Colonial Memorial Park, 3039 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
