Susan L. Most

Susan L. Novak's life was a beautiful testament to kindness, dedication, and the joy found in life's simple pleasures. Born with a heart full of compassion, Susan devoted herself to nurturing not only her own family but also the many young lives she touched as a beloved preschool teacher. Her gentle guidance and patient instruction left a lasting impact on her community.

Her kitchen was where everyone gathered-filled with warmth and the comforting smells of her cooking. The recipes she lovingly prepared will continue to be shared, a reminder of the love she poured into every meal.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Robert H. Novak. She was the cherished mother of Rob (Megan) Novak and Todd (Jorie) Novak. Susan instilled in her sons the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family.She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Emma, Charlie, Frankie, and Coco, who were the lights of her life. Susan was a constant presence in their lives, always cheering them on and celebrating their achievements with boundless joy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. chapel service at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Avenue, Darien. Interment to follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
