Susan K. Riolo, aged 78, of Congers, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 20th, 2025 in Westwood, New Jersey after a long-term and chronic illness.
Susan, an incredible mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born and raised in the Belmont section of the Bronx. She moved to Rockland County with her husband, Tom, in the 1980s to raise her two sons Tom and Antonio.
She was well known for her caring manner, quirky humor, and outgoing personality. She always cared for others first over her own self interests. Ever the night owl, she'd always be up late to talk to anyone who needed it or to cook a meal, anytime you'd call. No one ever went hungry in Susan's home.
She was a loving mother to her three sons. She was also a wonderful grandmother to her three grandchildren, Antonio, Luke, and Olivia, all whom she adored. She is survived by the above mentions, as well as her sisters Annmarie and Linda, brothers Allie, Angelo, and Rusty, as well as many beloved cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was the second eldest of the seven children in her family. She cherished and remained close with her brothers, sisters, and their families, her entire life. She is predeceased by her son Eddie and her sister Roxann, both of whom she truly loved and admired.
Visitation will be held at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY on Sunday, March 23rd from 2-6pm.
A Funeral Mass will occur at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Rd, Congers, NY on Monday March 24th at 10am with internment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery Mausoleum at 36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Susan, please visit our floral store.

Ohh Sue, we spent precious years as kids together. You were a special cousin who was more like a sister and confidante. You always protected and supported me when growing up. I will always remember on Southern Boulevard when we sang together and laughed through the night with your mother, Aunt Connie. Now you are with all our relatives. Until we meet again. I will always love you, my dearest cousin. Love you always, cousin Alley.
