Susan Teepe

Susan Elizabeth Teepe, nee Newnam, age 68, of Swansea, Ill., born August 23, 1954 in Boston, Mass., passed away April 24, 2023 at her home in Swansea.
Susan grew up in California and worked in Retail Sales & Management at various shoe stores and department stores throughout California, Nevada, and Texas, and attended Culinary School later in life. After relocating to Illinois, to be nearer her son and his family, she worked at Kohl's Department Store in Fairview Heights and the Base Exchange at Scott AFB.
Susan had a passion for cooking and loved entertaining family and friends with her delectable meals. She also really enjoyed taking trips with her many friends. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed reading, watching her favorite television series, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Jean, nee Liden, Newnam, and her brother John Newnam.
Susan is survived by her sons and their families: John (Sara) Teepe and children Leah and Jackson of Scott AFB, Ill., and Micah (Alishia) Teepe and children Landon and Donovan of Reno, Nev. Susan is also survived by her sisters Stephanie DePrima, Diana Schmaeling, and Shelley Newnam.
The family will hold private memorial services.
