Susan Van Rite, age 77, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning September 13, 2023. The daughter of the late Donald and Evelyn (Bisick) Larscheid was born August 17, 1946 in Green Bay. She married Red Van Rite on October 1, 1966 at St. John the Evangelist in Green Bay. Susan worked at the Boston Store and Homestead Décor. In addition to shopping, she enjoyed gambling and going out to eat. Susan loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Red; children: Kim (Todd) Williquette, Dan (Sara Nardi) Van Rite, Kerri (Todd Johnson) Walsh; grandchildren: Lexi (Taylor) Eckholm, Abbi Walsh and children Millie and Aaryelle; Carlee Secor, Kenzie (Cesar) Amezquita and daughter Marlee; siblings: Lynn (Larry) Kane, Bonnie (Tom) Mason, Donna Mason, Debbie (Craig) Christensen, Lori Stein, Mary (Mark) Mandich, Rick (Denise) Larscheid, Bill (Lisa) Larscheid and Steve Larscheid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Sharon (Larry) Maes, John Mason, Jim Mason, Bob Stein and brother-in-law Harry Van Rite.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Saturday, September 16, from 11am until 1:30pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lissencephaly Foundation (www.lissfoundation.org)
