Susan Lorraine Wold

Susan Lorraine Wold was born on September 20th, 1956 to Kenneth and Louise (Robinson) Storey in Renton, Washington. Susan passed away on November 20th, 2025 in Spokane, Washington surrounded by family.

Susan moved to Spokane as a child. She graduated from West Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington in 1974. She then attended Northwest Nazarene College and achieved her Associates Degree in 1978. She returned to West Valley School District to serve as a paraeducator until her retirement in 2023.

Susan met Doug Wold and married him on July 24th, 1976. They both attended Spokane First Church of the Nazarene and Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene. She was a Sunday School teacher and a Missions Council Member.

Susan enjoyed shopping and golfing the various courses in the Spokane area. Her and Doug also hosted many international students, inviting them into their home. She loved spending time with her family and helping the homeless.

Susan was fun loving, bringing joy to every moment she could. She was the family comedian, always having a joke ready to go. She showed compassion toward others as Christ did. She loved the Lord and loved to serve Him.

Susan is survived by her husband Doug; her daughters Sonya (Tim) Trosper and Salena Wold; her brothers Steve Storey, Kevin Storey, and John Nichols; and sister Jennifer Nichols.

A memorial service will be held at Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA 99218 at 2:00 PM on December 13, 2025.
