Susan Kathleen Davis Zimbro, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at her home in Wicomico Church, Virgina at the age of 70.
Susan was born in Alexandria, Virginia on December 1, 1954, to William Davis and Shirley Weaver Davis. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1973. In 1975, Susan married Wade Zimbro in Alexandria, Virginia. She was employed at Wade C. Zimbro Fine Craftsmanship as a Project Designer. Susan had a passion for fitness and was an Aerobics Instructor throughout the Northern Neck of Virginia. Susan also had a love of gardening, reading and the Arts. Her happy place was RV'ing with her husband of 49 years throughout Virginia. Her love of animals led her to volunteer at the Northumberland County Animal Shelter.
Susan was preceded in death by her Father William Davis. Susan is survived by her husband Wade Zimbro; children David Zimbro, Ryan Scott Zimbro, Jonathan (Jiyeon) Zimbro; grandchildren Pyper Zimbro, Johnny Zimbro and Zachary Zimbro; her mother Shirley Davis; brother William "Billy" (Kim) Davis and sister Jennifer (Craig) Brent.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday September 3, 2025, at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Northumberland County Animal Shelter – FNCAS, P.O. Box 603, Burgess, VA 22432 or online at friendsncas.org.
