Rebecca Suzanne Wix Asay, 66, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday January 6, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday January 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Christian Asay, Aaron Asay, Chris Scott, Josh Latimer, Tom Latimer, Jeff Wix, and Jeff Downey serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Suzanne was born December 27, 1958, in Springfield. She worked in factory assembly for many years and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Suzanne loved dancing and loved animals, especially her cats. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father: Johnny D. Wix, by her brother: Steve Wix, and by her sister: Robin Wix Smith.
Suzanne is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Eric and Jessica Asay, Brian and Kim Asay all of Springfield, by her mother: Ruby Baxter Wix of Springfield, by her brothers and sister-in-law: James Wix of Springfield, Jeff and Deborah Wix of White House, by her sisters and brother-in-law: Betty Scott of Springfield, Tammy and David Latimer of Portland, and by her grandchildren that she loved so much: Christian, Aaron, Gracey, Michael, Nathaniel, and Daniel.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made payable to Robertson County Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
