Suzy Benedetti, of
Farragut, TN passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024. She was born on February 26, 1978, in Natick, Massachusetts, to John Michael Ward and Barbara Hill Ward. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Suzy's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family, her passion for serving others, and her joyful spirit. Even though she battled breast cancer for over 3.5 years, Suzy continued to support other warriors, cheering them on, praying with them and improving their spirits through phone and in-person meetings.
Suzy was a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee and a lifelong member of ZTA, where she earned her degree and forged lifelong friendships. Her career spanning 22 years at FedEx was a reflection of her intellect and commitment, and she touched the lives of many through her work and the example she set. She is described as an employee who bled Purple and truly inspired those around her to be better.
Above all, Suzy was devoted to her family. Suzy was proceeded in death by Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ward. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Anthony "Tony" Benedetti; their three children: Zachery (wife Jinny), Mason, and Dylan; her parents, John and Barbara Ward; her brother, Jason Ward (wife Brandi); her niece Sage; her in-laws Frank and Judy Benedetti and many other loving family members and friends. Suzy's family was the center of her world, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. She will be forever missed by her devoted rescue Smokey, who has comforted her throughout her numerous surgeries, treatments, and care.
Suzy was known for her kindness, her warmth, and her ability to bring light into any room. She had a passion for discipleship, working with youth programs as well as working with other Breast Cancer warriors in and around her community, and she cherished spending time with those she loved. Whether she was cheering on her children at sporting events or hosting family gatherings, Suzy's infectious smile and generous spirit were always at the forefront.
A welcoming of friends and family will be held on Monday, December 2nd, from 4:00 to 6:00 o'clock in the evening at Click Funeral Home in
Farragut, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:00 o'clock in the morning at Concord United Methodist Church to celebrate her life and the legacy of love and joy she leaves behind. Suzy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a beautiful soul, and she will be deeply missed.
