Linda L. (LaVoie) Benedetti, 76, a longtime resident of Plymouth, died peacefully at Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was the wife of William Benedetti. Daughter of the late Roland J. and Marion C. (O’Donnell) LaVoie, she was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1966. Linda was a resident of Plymouth since 1969. She was a Claims Specialist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Plymouth for 4 years. She enjoyed playing Solitaire and Cribbage but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by her children, Melissa A. Moriarty of Plymouth and Kenneth J. Moriarty, Jr. and his wife Alejandra of Florida. She was the sister of James LaVoie and Kenneth LaVoie both of Florida and the late Roland LaVoie. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lynelle Leonard.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda‘s name may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215 (www.childrenshospital.org).
