Suzanne Kay Bogard, 86, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

She was born on May 22, 1939, in Peoria, IL to Ted and Myrna Eckdahl. She met the love of her life, Richard H. Bogard, and they were married on June 5, 1987. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2018.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Roark.

Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly (Sie) Maroon; grandson, Sidney Maroon; granddaughter, Caitlin Cooper; and one great-granddaughter, Georgia Cooper. Also surviving are her nanny family: Tom, Margaret, and Shirley Rose Williams. Her special, lifelong friend and companion, Dave Welch, also survives, along with many dear friends.

Suzanne was educated at Washington Grade School, Peoria High School, and Bradley University. She taught 1st Grade for 10 years and then changed careers to become a flight attendant for Ozark Airlines. She eventually retired from TWA.

Suzanne and Dick enjoyed 33 years together. They traveled all over the world, with Paris being one of their favorites. They visited every Major League Ballpark in the United States and Canada. Much of their winters was spent at their golf course condo in Naples, FL.

Suzanne and Dick were members of Mt. Hawley Country Club, Windstar in Naples, and Glen Eagle Country Club in Naples. Suzanne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria and the North Naples Methodist Church.

A memorial service will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior. Suzanne will be buried alongside her husband, Dick, at the Oakland Cemetery in Princeton, IL at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunday School Program at First United Methodist Church of Peoria in Suzanne's name.
