Suzanne Kirkland Obituary
Suzanne Kirkland, age 92, of Kent, OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Tamarack Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. Family appreciates the staff of Tamarack Ridge for their kind and compassionate care in her final months.
Suzanne was born April 30, 1933 in Akron, OH to the late Alfred and Roseanne (Smith) Cain.
Suzanne along with her husband owned the Fiesta Restaurant for 28 years in Kent, Ohio. She was the lead cook and was known for her delicious meals and soups. She mentioned her favorite thing to cook was lasagna. Despite running a business, she always found time for her family and especially her grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be missed.
She is survived by her children, Robert Kirkland (Sherri Atkinson), Rose Ellen Donovan (Bill), Jerry Kirkland (Gail); daughter-in-law Suzanne Lappin; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kirkland; son, Harry Kirkland; sisters, Barbara and Yvonne; brother, Roy; and her parents.
Calling hours will be held 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St, Kent, OH 44240. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 19, 2025, at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory with William Donovan officiating. Followed by the inurnment at Standing Rock Cemetery.
