Suzanne P. Schott, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Born on August 3, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, Suzanne was the beloved daughter of Elzie and Frankie Pitcock. She lived her life devoted to those she loved, wearing many treasured titles—loving mother, proud mamaw, caring sister, and loyal friend. Family was the center of her world, and her greatest joy came from simply being together with the people she held close.
Suzanne was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her unmistakable spunk, and a feisty spirit that made her unforgettable. Beneath that spark was a stubborn determination and a heart overflowing with love and compassion. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome; her home was always open, and she truly considered everyone who walked through her door family. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A homebody at heart, Suzanne enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved listening to Elvis, working word search puzzles, and settling in to watch her favorite shows like The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. Easygoing and content, she found happiness in the everyday moments spent with her family.
Suzanne’s love, warmth, and gentle presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family that will never be forgotten.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Elzie Ray and Frankie Bryen Pitcock; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory, Suzanne is survived by her 7 daughters, Lynn Myatt, Teresa Wright (David), Dana Schott, Christy Snelling (Donnie), Diana Schott, Autumn Bright, and Amanda Bright; 23 Grandchildren; an abundance of Great-Grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jane Smith and Ethel White; and a host of extended family and close friends.
