She was born September 21, 1955, in Albuquerque, NM, to Norma (Dill) and Fred Starkey. She married her high school sweetheart, James Simmons, and had three children.
Throughout her life she worked various jobs, such as travel agent, railroad taxi driver, and homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her father, Fred, and her mother, Norma. Step-father Donald and brother Ronnie.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters Tammy Maldonado (Daryl) and Kristy Muller (Eric); son Mark Simmons; 2 sisters, Tina Nielson and Janice Hutchins of Maine; 3 brothers, Bryan Starkey (Lori) of Arizona, Jimmy Starkey (Myrna) of Arizona, and Larry Starkey (Barbara) of Colorado ; 11 grandkids; and 8 great-grandkids.
