Suzanne “Sue” Conklin, 76, of Socorro, NM, passed away on July 5, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1949, in Auburn, New York.
Sue spent much of her life working with animals—raising calves in New York and later caring for horses on a ranch in New Mexico. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially planting flowers, and watching hummingbirds. She also loved riding horses and four-wheelers and spending time in wide open spaces.
Sue is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, Al; daughter, Jamie Lattimore and her husband Brandon; and grandchildren, Connor and Alexis.
A funeral service will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 309 Garfield St, Socorro, NM on Tuesday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. Burial and a celebration of life will follow at Rancho Corazón in Lemitar.
She’ll be remembered for her love of animals, her connection to the land, and the life she built with her family in New Mexico
