Roeder Mortuaries - 108th Street ChapelSuzanne “Sue” Rae Miller, age 84 passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13th, 2025
Suzanne “Sue” was born on December 3rd, 1940, to Donald and Ruth Hill in Council Bluffs Iowa and attended T J High School and, in 1956, met the love of her life, Francis “Frank” Miller. They were married in South Dakota and went on to share more than 66 wonderful years together.
Suzanne was known for her warm smile and her deep love of animals – especially dogs. She found joy in gardening, spending time at the neighborhood pool, visiting Peony Park, camping and boating with friends. Above all, she was devoted to her family. Once her children were older and in High School, she began working outside of the home. She later retired from Von Maur where she took great pride in helping find just the right dresses and petite wear. She cherished the friendships she made there and genuinely enjoyed assisting everyone who visited her department.
Suzanne’s legacy of love, warmth and quiet strength will forever live on in our hearts of all who knew her.
Suzanne is survived by her children: Barb and her husband Tom Miller, Lori and her husband Ried Steinkraus and son Billy Miller. Suzanne is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, along with many lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Ruth Hill, her sister and brother-in-law, Jackie & Bob Colman, her granddaughter, Katie Steinkraus and her loving husband Frank Miller of more than 66 years.
