Patricia Ann Miller was born on October 25, 1948, to Ward and Helen Goodell in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She passed away at her home in Omaha, Nebraska on November 16, 2025, at the age of 77.
When Patty was young, her family moved from Redfield, South Dakota to Omaha, Nebraska, where she spent most of her childhood and adult life. Patty graduated from Omaha Benson High School and, following in her father’s footsteps, began working at the phone company. It was while working at the phone company that Patty met and married her first husband and together, they had three children: two sons, Michael Richard and Brian Ward, and a daughter, Kari Marie.
After leaving the phone company, Patty enjoyed a career working in the restaurant and store management industries. During her time in the restaurant industry, she met her second husband, David John Miller, and his children Lori Jean and Mark Anthony were added to her family. After many years together, Patty and David were married on September 19, 2007, in Omaha Nebraska.
During her adult life, Patty enjoyed planting anything that she could watch grow, being crafty, especially crocheting and working on her sewing machine, reading and golfing, but her greatest love was her family, which included her “fur babies”. Patty was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of so many with her kindness, generosity, positivity and passion for life. Her home was open to anyone that needed it and she was always available to listen and provide advice if it was needed. Patty had an uncanny ability to find the good in everyone she met and every situation that she encountered.
Patty is survived by her husband: David Miller; her children: Michael (Michelle) Wiese, Brian (Angela) Wiese, and Kari (Christopher) Wilson; her step-children: Lori Jean Davidson and Mark (Patricia) Miller; her grandchildren: Michaela and Marnie Wiese, Delaney and Olivia Wiese, Reagan, Madison, Mallory and Rhett Wilson, Daniel and Jacob Davidson, and Zachariah Miller; and her great-grandchildren: D’Kye and D’Kaari; her siblings: Mark (Jann) Goodell, Kathy Goodell, Deb Goodell, David (Tami) Goodell, and Richard (Dawn) Valesco; and many nieces and nephews - all who will forever cherish her memory.
