Suzanne Marie Young

Suzanne Marie Young, 84, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born November 6, 1941 in Valparaiso to William H. and Florence I. (Blum) Peters, Jr. On March 25, 1961 she married Alan J. Young who passed away December 20, 2017. Suzanne is survived by her two sons Eric (Brenda) Young of Twin Lake, Michigan and Carl Young of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five step grandchildren; her sisters Barbara Devlin of Westville and Frances Gregory of Orland Park, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Suzanne was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Sanchez. She attended Liberty Bible Church in Chesterton. Visitation will be held Wednesday January 21st, from 11:30 am until the time of service. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21st at 1:00 pm, at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Pastor Ben Polhemus will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
