Sybil Leona Mixon Cobb, age 65, a resident of Kingston, Tennessee, and formerly of Claiborne County, Tennessee passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Roane Medical Center, Harriman, Tennessee. She was born December 27, 1959, in Hampton, South Carolina to Mondell Mixon & Virginia Mixon Young. She loved to fish with her spouse, Ricky Patterson, spending time with her numerous kids and grandchildren, and visiting “The Island” in Pigeon Forge. Sybil’s professional endeavors took her from managing a middle school cafeteria, to being a Corrections Officer with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office, to being in charge of the Kitchen at the Claiborne County Detention Facility. She was preceded in death by her father, Mondell Mixon; father, Carl Young; brother, Kenny Mixon; and grandchildren, Misty and Alex Childress.

Grandchildren: Donald, Jonathan, Zach, Kaleb, Megan, Shelby, Jeffery, Katelin, Courtney, Riley, Mikaela, Coltyn, and Brynli

And many other relatives and friends.
Cremation arrangements have been made, and no formal services are being planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.
