Eberhard Michael “Hardy” Holthausen, age 66, a resident of Oak Ridge, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his home. He was born September 12, 1959, in Düren, Blumenthalstraße, Germany. He enjoyed computers and was an Information Technology (I.T.) Technician for the Oak Ridge City Schools for 20 years, where he thoroughly enjoyed his work. He loved music and playing the guitar and singing Karaoke. Hardy loved to gather with family and friends and was always known as “the life of the party” because there was never a dull moment around him. He used to play Soccer, enjoyed watching Formula 1 Racing, and driving his Mazda Miata. He was a very loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He had the biggest heart and took pride in his home, always making sure that it was a warm and welcoming place for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Friedrich Holthausen; sister, Gabriele Schumbrinck; and brother, Volker Richter.

Survivors include:

Wife: Allen “LaLa” Holthausen

Daughter: Natalie Darbonne (fiancée, Sav Ballard)

Mother & Step-Father: Ursula & Kurt Richter

Sister: Verena Hahn

Nephews: Patrick Keupp

Marc Schumbrinck

Nieces: Sandra Entius

Daniela Holenstein

Special Friends: Shawn Francis & Ofelia Howard

Close friends of the Filipino Mafia

And several relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been made. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Middle School, 200 Fairbanks Road, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830.  Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Eberhard Michael “Hardy” Holthausen.
