Daniel Evon Olson

Daniel Evon Olson, 60, passed away surrounded by family on October 18, 2025 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. A memorial service will be held for him at Weatherford Mortuary on Saturday, November 1 st at 12:00pm.
Born on November 17, 1964, Daniel grew up in Nebraska before joining the Air Force, where he was stationed in Germany, Mississippi, Maryland, and then retired in Germany after 20 years of service. He worked as a Network Engineer in Oak Ridge, the place he considered "home" after spending so much of his life moving for his duty. He was a hard worker, enjoyed learning new hobbies, and was always up for anything. Daniel's favorite pastime was spending time with his family by watching movies, playing games, travelling, and enjoying great food.
Daniel is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Sonja, his two daughters, Kimberly and Yvonne, his sons-in-law Michael and Brandon, and his grandson, Atreus.
Daniel will be remembered for his compassion, his humor, his patience, and his love for his family. He was an incredible father and doting husband who would do anything you asked at the drop of a hat. The happiness of his loved ones was his life-long mission. He was a great person, inside and out.
