Sydney Edward Wright
Born: September 28, 1940~Deceased: January 27, 2022
He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Catherine Wright.
Syd is survived by his wife of 56 years Elsie R. Wright, two sons John S. Wright and William A. Wright, a brother Richard Wright (Jan), three grandchildren, two great grand children, a Niece and his beloved dog (Dixie).
Syd was a Real Estate Broker with a Century 21 Franchise. He was the founder and President of Syd Wright Company and Wright Construction and Development Co., Inc.
He was a member of the Home Builders Association.
He was a partner in Clem and Wright Builders and participated in Ho¬mearamas in Hunting Creek and Sutherland in the late 80's and early 90's.
Syd was a Residential Developer. He developed the Subdivisions Adam's Run, Quindero Run, Federal Hill with the late Jim Proud, Seaton Springs, Greenwood Meadows and Washington Green.
He owned investment properties throughout Kentucky and other States. He owned and managed single family, multi family, office and small commercial properties.
He was a former member of the Hikes Point Optimist Club and coached Little League. He was a founding member of the Parrish House.
Syd was a former President of the Bonnycastle Club and a former Pres¬ident of the Sportsman Supper Club.
Syd loved fishing, dogs and convertibles. He loved to read novels about the Napoleonic Era and Westerns. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan. But most of all he was a devoted, loving husband and Father.
There will be no visitation. A private graveside service for family only will be on Saturday February 5th.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to the Kentucky Humane Society.
