Sylvia F. Bartes, age 95 of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at VitaCare in Rice Lake.
Sylvia was born on August 25, 1929 in Ridgeland, Wisconsin to Joseph and Eldora (Kurschner) Eliason. At the age of 3, she moved to Hinckley, Minnesota where she attended school and graduated from Hinckley High School in 1946. After graduation she went to work for the State of Minnesota Employment and Recruiting office as the office secretary. On September 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to Rudy Bartes in Center City, Minnesota. Rudy passed away in 1984. He was always on her mind and how they are together having heavenly time.
Sylvia is survived by a daughter, Cindy Olsen; sisters, Rachel, Kathy, Gloria and Laurel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eldora; her husband, Rudy; brothers, Roland, Mark and Dale.
The family would like to thank Dr. Binu Philip and VitaCare for taking care of Mom. A heartfelt thank you to Darlene Tripp who cared for Sylvia in her later years. Sylvia often said "I do not know what I would do without her! God Bless!
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Kilcoyne Memorial Services, 637 North Main Street Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place following the service at Bohemian National Cemetery in Haugen, Wisconsin.

I remember Sylvia when I was in grade school in Haugen. Cindy, my sincere sympathy to you on the loss of your mother. I lost track of you and your family and wish I had known she was in Rice Lake. Sincerely, Rita Brandemuehl Durand
