Sylvia Elaine BLANKENSHIP

BLANKENSHIP, Sylvia Elaine, age 74, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord September 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Melissa Hammack; and her grandson, Neff Stephen Walker. She is survived by her three daughters, Elaine Ayres (David), Melissa Dixon (Scott Anderson), Mecheyl Coltes (Rodney); and a son, James Phelps Jr.; 10 grandchildren, Dustin Walker, Amanda Ayres, David, Daniel, and Anthony Vandermark, Brandi, Todd, and Dwayne Duncan Jr., Ashley and Brittany Phelps; three great-grandchildren, Brianna Ray, Jaden Lewis, and Kaden Vandermark; two sisters, Martha Fletcher (Ronnie) and Mary Leigh Lucia; four nieces, three nephews; special friends, Jo and Glenn Small; devoted friend and caregiver, Lisa Blevins. She leaves behind her beloved pomeranian, Messy May, and many that so lovingly also called her grandma. A celebration of her life will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond SPCA.
