Sylvia Sue Hackett

Sylvia Sue Hackett, age 88, of Hwy 19 in Conway went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to reunite with her loving husband of 67 years, Preacher William (Billy) Hackett, on December 7, 2023.
Born April 14, 1935 in Asheboro, NC to the late Roy Jessy Davis and Ida Ferrington Davis, Sylva was one of thirteen children. She was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters. Her surviving sister, Evona Coble, resides in Asheboro, NC. Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, ministry supporter and homemaker who enjoyed decorating and cleaning, going out with family and friends, and her priorities included serving God and taking care of her family. She was prayerful, faithful, fun and insightful and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her three daughters: Linda Tise (Terry) of King, NC, Rhonda Schween (Steve) of Albuquerque, NM, and Angelia Johnson (Eric) of Conway as well as her grandchildren Sonya Tise Lavorini (Bryan), Luke Davis Johnson and Elaina Vivian Johnson. The family of Sylvia Hackett would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and her loving caregivers who ministered to her.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am and funeral service will follow at 12 Noon on Tuesday, December 12th at Juniper Bay Baptist Church in Conway with Rev. Jonathan Vandermark officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
