Sylvia Ellen Horton

Sylvia Horton, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at her home in Navajo Dam. She was born October 28, 1942, in Clovis to Roy and Beatrice Beasley.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Wendall, sister, Sandra, brother, Sylvester, grandson Terrance, and mother and father, Beatrice and Roy.
She is survived by son, Wendell Dale Horton, Jr, and wife, Carlene, of Navajo Dam; Daughter Lura Lee Moore and husband, Don, of Peyton, Colorado; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tyler, and Trey Moore, Carla Garcia and husband, George; great-grandchildren, Alex Gold, Shane Hunter, Ophelia Gayton, Desmond and Isaiah Smith, Kristina, Kayla, Elijah, and Ezekial Garcia; great great grandchildren Loraleigh Gold, Alycia Kaylee Garcia, and Aniah Rose Smith.
Sylvia married Wendell Horton on March 3, 1962, in Farmington, New Mexico, at the Highland Baptist Church. They shared 43 incredible years together.
Sylvia and Wendell bought their dream home at Navajo Dam and loved sitting out on the back porch watching the various wildlife and river flow by.
Services for Sylvia will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the First Baptist Chapel in Bloomfield, with Pastor Joel Gunn officiating.
