Wiliam G "Bill" Allen, 85, was born in Farmington NM on June 24,1939 to William S. Allen and Melba J. Nabors Allen. Bill passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on April 15, 2025, in Farmington.
Bill spent his early years on the family farm and orchard on South Route 3 in Farmington with sisters Eulalie and Virginia. Known then as the "Allen Farm," fruit trees were soon replaced by homes to become Mossman Gladden's Valle Grande. A 1957 Farmington High School Graduate, Bill attended Ft Lewis College, NMSU in Las Cruces and then joined the USAF 1961-1965 mostly stationed at Dyess AFB, TX. In 1966 he obtained his degree in Finance from McMurry University in Abilene, TX. It was 1959 when he met his future sweetheart, Glenda Gish, and on September 8,1961 they married at the First Methodist Church in Farmington. Time took them to Abilene, Texas, Albuquerque, Mineral Wells, Texas and then back to Farmington in 1969. September 8, 2024, they celebrated their 63rd Anniversary.
Bill was a kind and gentle man who loved the Lord, his family and his country. He especially enjoyed his morning quiet time in prayer and Bible study, camping, playing tennis, racquetball, handball and in his senior years, pickleball. While a Deacon at Mountain Vista Baptist Church, Bill also taught a Sunday School Class and Wednesday evening patriotic classes. He was especially instrumental on the building committee of the new Mountain Vista church building. A realtor for 29 years with Century 21 SoWesCo Realty, Bill loved his work and especially his realtor family. In recent years he enjoyed just being comfortable at home with Glenda and their family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Melba Allen, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Eulalie and Phil Jerome, Virginia and Chuck Miller.
He is survived by his wife Glenda, son Greg (Georgette) Allen, son Geoff Allen, and daughter Eve Lynn (Mike) Clawson all of Farmington.
