Sylvia Ellie Leggett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sylvia Ellie Lou Leggett, who left us peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on January 25, 1925, in Springdale, Florida, Sylvia lived a long and fulfilling life dedicated to her family and community.
Sylvia was a proud homemaker, known for opening her heart and home to those around her. A devoted member of the Center Street Church of God, she spent many joyful hours sewing, cooking, and sharing delicious meals with neighborhood children. Her love for babysitting friends and family's little ones, along with her passion for fishing, created countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Sylvia was preceded in death by: her husband, C. D. Leggett; her parents, John & Ella Small Cox; 5 children, Carl, Virgina, Ronald, Larry, Tommy Leggett.
She is survived by her loving family, including her son Billy Leggett, daughter Patricia Graddy, son Dwayne Leggett, and wife Brenda; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A public visitation will be held at Burns Funeral Home of Perry on Monday October 6, 2025, from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Perry on Tuesday October 7, 2025.
As we honor Sylvia's remarkable life, we invite all who loved her to join us in remembering the loving and generous woman she was. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
